Soapy the witch, mysticalsoap mascot

the packaging

notes & care

for first-timers

Packaging cards for the soaps. Notes tell you what the bar is all about, and care tells you how to get the best lather out of 'em.

Please keep in mind that Soapy brews out of a spare room, just for friends. Everything on the shelf lives on a home server that occasionally naps — if a mixture looks like it's still curing, give it a minute and try again.

It's all free. If you're interested, just reach out.

watch hand-picked dreams

notes

Movies and television curated by Soapy.

Check out the scrolling banner for some of Soapy's favorites.

care

Every app asks for a server first: give it the browser address, then your username and password.

listen catchy incantations

notes

Music curated by Soapy.

Link a ListenBrainz account in your personal settings and every play scrobbles there.

care

The apps want the server itself, not the browser player: give them https://music.mysticalsoap.com and your listen username and password.

read forbidden knowledge

notes

A library of ebooks.

care

  • browser https://read.mysticalsoap.com
  • kindle put your Kindle's address in your profile on the site and add noreply@mysticalsoap.com to Amazon's approved senders; every book then has a send-to-e-reader button
  • kobo on your account page on the site, create a Kobo Sync Token and paste the line it shows into .kobo/Kobo/Kobo eReader.conf on the Kobo over USB, then sync. Sign out of the Kobo store on the device first, or it keeps undoing that line
  • koreader on the site open E-readers → Pair a Kobo or KOReader and follow along
  • phone read in the browser, or download the EPUB into whatever you already use — Librera on Android can browse the whole shelf from inside the app: give it https://read.mysticalsoap.com/opds and an app password made on your account page
hear spoken tomes

notes

Audiobooks.

care

Give the app the browser address. Signing in opens the usual login page in a tab and hands you back when it's done.

request satiate cravings

notes

The request form for movies and television. If something isn't on the shelf yet, you can ask for it here. The request goes straight into the queue and starts fetching itself.

You can see where a request has got to from the same page you made it on.

Additionally you can make requests inside the watch app itself.

Put your email on your profile and it'll tell you when a request lands.
